One of our family vehicles is a twin turbo v6 trying to perform like a v8. One of those newer gas sipping suv's. Well it was running pretty rough and I read on a forum that turbo charged cars should run at least on plus if not premium gas and never regular. I had just filled the tank with regs because Im cheap; so I added some of this octane booster and we noticed a significantly smoother running motor. I can't tell you what this stuff is made of but I can say it helped in my situation.

I added this fuel additive to the appropriate amount of regular unleaded gasoline, to make it suitable to run in my european car. The price of Super is over a dollar more per gallon than the lower octane gas. The car runs fine. Strong motor, and no pinging. So the Gumout octane boost seems to be doing a fine job. I know that this is not exactly the intended use for this product. But it served the purpose I bought it for. I don't drive the car enough to keep track of gas mileage.

well shortly after piuring in tank i got a cide saying both upstream 02 sensors had failed. whether this caused it ir not i dont know. but ill not try it again ..

I have a 2001 Honda Passport with a 3.2L v6 engine. My vehicle does not run well and spark knocks unless I use plus or premium gas. With plus and premium gas running anywhere between $.75 to $1.25 more per gallon in my area, Gumout Octane Booster allows me to use regular unleaded gas (87 octane) in my vehicle and reduces the spark knocking considerably. Using this is much more cost effective than using the higher octane fuel.
